IMPHAL, Mar 31 : KASC-Khomidok defeated Muvanlai (MAF) by 44 runs for their first Group A victory in the ongoing 2nd MNCA Superplate Tournament at Kongba Khunou Dhobi Lampak.
KASC piled up a huge total of 277 runs for 5 in 38 overs thanks to quickfire 71 from Bm Irfan (off 53 balls) and remarkable half centuries from Muhammed Ali Karim (53 off 85 balls), WM Rajak (51 off 53 balls) and Md Aqeel (51 not out off 19 balls) and bundled out MAF for 233 runs in 35.5 overs.
Sapam Nandakumar of MAF fetched two wickets but spilled 74 runs in KASC's innings while Avinash Asmali and Khaikhotinlal Haokip picked a wicket each.
 MAF then had a disastrous innings as Md Aqeel (3/32) and Qurshid Alam (3/35) rattled their lineup and Md Javed Aktar (2/45) and Md Babu (2/44) shared two wickets each to pile more pressure. Md Aqeel of KASC who shone with both the bat and the ball was adjudged man of the match.
WYC-Wangkhem will play FORCE-Kshetrigao in the next match tomorrow.
