Protest continues

KANGPOKPI, Mar 31: The student community of Kangpokpi district staged a sit-in-protest over the 'brutal murder' of Seigunlal Misao at Motbung in Kangpokpi district today.
The protest demonstration was held under the aegis of the Joint Action Committee on the brutal murder of Seigunlal Misao.
Hundreds of students from different schools within Motbung areas participated in the sit-in-protest which began at Motbung Model Village.
The protesting students held placards and shouted slogans such as, "Solve the crime before it's too late", "We don't feel safe anymore", "Arrest the murderers", "A mother's only hope, you have destroyed", "Who will shoulder the world of the mother in grief", "We shall mourn until justice is delivered", "No justice, no peace", "Justice delayed is justice denied", "We condemn the inhumane act" etc.
One of the students asked why the Government is silent when the culprits had already claimed responsibility for the killing.
Another student, while condemning the killing, appealed to the State Government to deliver justice to the victim.
"No amount of excuses can justify this cold-blooded murder. We want justice for our brother Seigunlal Misao", another student said.
All the protesting students said that the allegation levelled against Seigunlal Misao is baseless
The student's life is at stake and we want "disturbance-free education" in Manipur. Even God will not forgive such a barbaric act", they added.
According to JAC, the sit-in protest will be carried out at various places till April 4.
