Furthermore, if Bangladesh had adopted this egalitarian outlook and provided every country with the same escort services, as the foreign minister had stated earlier, more countries would have demanded such additional facilities, placing additional strain on the already troubled economy and limited security resources.
The decision to depart is simply a realignment of security resources in response to the country’s better security environment and the current economic goals of the country, all the while maintaining due care to provide the highest level of protection for the foreign envoys hosted in the nation.
 In all of Bangladesh’s diplomatic history, there has never been any indication that the country has taken any tacit or overt diplomatic steps in retaliation.
