MAFD decries

IMPHAL, May 30 : The Manipur Academic Fraternity, Delhi (MAFD) has condemned the vandalisation of a car belonging to Prof Angomcha Bimol Akoijam, a faculty at School of Social Sciences, JNU last evening (May 29).
In a statement, MAFD said that the vehicle was parked at JNU academic premises while he was in office.
Saying that Prof Bimol has been articulating his opinion on the tragic violence in Manipur apart from calling for immediate cessation of violation as a concerned citizen, the MAFD continued that this act of vandalisation is an assault on academic freedom and free speech. It appealed to the authorities to take appropriate action against the miscreants.
