THOUBAL, May 31: Khongjom Circle Co-ordination Committee has submitted a memorandum to Thoubal DC Ahanthem Subhash demanding retrieval of the mortal remains of Heigrujam Robinsana (28) who was allegedly killed by suspected Kuki militants on May 28 during the unrest at Sugnu.
The Committee has demanded Late Heigrujam Robinsana's body to be handed over to his family by June 1.
The body is currently said to be at a location close to 37 Assam Rifles under Sugnu Police Station. Reportedly, efforts to retrieve the body of the deceased remained futile in the face of incessant gunfight in the area.
Thus, Khongjom Circle Co-ordination Committee has urged for deployment of more security forces to face the gunfight and safely retrieve the mortal remains of the deceased.
The Committee further cautioned to launch intense agitation in coordination with State CSOs, local clubs, meira paibi associations etc if the dead body is not retrieved and handed over to the concerned family  by June 1.
(L) Heigrujam Robinsana was the son of Heigrujam Dhana from Khongjom Keithel.
