IMPHAL, Sep 22 : Manipur represented by Ananda Purna School of Science, Thoubal emerged Pool A winners in the 62nd Subroto Cup with three wins on trot in the league competition.
They will meet Pool B winners Bangladesh team represented by Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP) in the quarter final on September 24.
Manipur girls who pulverised Navy School 24-0 in their opening fixture and notched up a 4-0 win over Madhya Pradesh yesterday, carried forward their winning run by recording a comfortable 4-1 win today against Tamil Nadu to top the Pool competition and qualify for the quarter final.
N Henarita who had scored 12 goals in the previous two matches, led from the front yet again and netted thrice (22', 28', 55') to set up the big win. L Nira scored the other goal in the 38th minute.
