DSA Bishnupur pays tributes to W Ashalata

IMPHAL, Sep 22 : The District Sports Association, Bishnupur has expressed heartfelt sorrow over the unexpected demise of former woman footballer and referee Wahengbam Ashalata on September 16.
Ashalata from Nambol Maibam Chingning had helped Manipur bring home many titles and trophies from National level competitions. Her demise has left everyone in the DSA Bishnupur and referee community in a sense of deep shock and great loss, said DSA Bishnupur in a condolence note.
DSA Bishnupur and referee fraternity in Bishnupur share pain and grief of the bereaved family members, it said while praying for her soul to rest in peace in the heavenly abode.
