Manipur reach U-17 Girls Subroto Cup semi-final

IMPHAL, Sep 24 : Pool A winners, Manipur edged past Pool B winners, Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP) by 2-1 goals in the first quarter final match of the U-17 Girls Subroto Cup at BR Ambedkar Stadium, New Delhi today.
Manipur, represented by Ananda Purna School of Sciences of Thoubal rode on goals by Helena (10') and Henarita (26') to seal the narrow 2-1 victory over BKSP.
Manipur will play Haryana (GSSS Alakhpura, Bhiwani) who pulled off a narrow 1-0 win over Assam in the second quarter final match today, in the first semi-final match tomorrow.
In other quarter final matches, Jharkhand blanked Tripura 5-0 and NCC beat Meghalaya 1-0.
