NFC for Dr BC Roy TrophySajaan Khan hits treble as Manipur trounce AP 6-0

IMPHAL, Sep 26 : Manipur carried forward its impressive run in the ongoing Junior Boys National Football Champion-ship for Dr BC Roy Trophy 2023-24 Tier II Stage with another resounding win today.
Having won 7-0 against Himachal Pradesh in the campaign opener, Manipur cruised to a 6-0 win over Andhra Pradesh at Railway Stadium, Jabalpur (MP) courtesy Singamayum Sajaan Khan's treble and solos from Yokmipam Awungchihui, Okram Tomson and Achouba Huidrom.
Manipur went ahead early with Sajaan Khan netting the first in the 11th minute before completing his brace in the 35th and made it 2-0 for Manipur.
Yokmipam then fired home the third goal in the 41st minute before Sajaan Khan completed his treble one minute into the added time before halftime.
After the restart, substitute Okram Tomson handed the fifth goal for Manipur after 53 minutes before Achouba dug deep into the stoppage time to score one more goal and completed the 6-0 rout.
Manipur will play Ladakh in the next match on September 28.
