Cancer awareness cum screening programme held

To create awareness about cancer-care among the people of Manipur, Karkinos Manipur Cancer Institute and Research Centre in association with the Directorate of Education (S) Office, Imphal West District organised a One Day Cancer Awareness cum Screening Programme at the Office of the Directorate of Education(S), Imphal West District on Wednesday.
It was attended by Biseshwar Khumuk Cham, Additional Director, Valley; Dangmei Manglem, Additional Director, Hill; and Gurumayum Anita, Additional Director, Grievance along with staff of the Office of the Directorate of Education (S), Imphal West District, said Karkinos in a release.
The programme included awareness sessions, risk assessment, and screening. It was also focussed on the importance of proper diet, hygiene, fitness and healthy lifestyle, to name a few. Registration of ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) Cards were also done during the programme.
A highly experienced Medical Team headed by Dr K Rajo Singh, Sr. Anaesthesiologist and HOD, along with RMOs, Nurses, Lab Technicians, and Women Wellness Team were present to conduct the cancer screening programme.
