Dr Bimol's wife files complaint

IMPHAL, Apr 16 : Olivia Thounaojam, wife of the INC candidate for the forthcoming Manipur Lok Sabha Election (Inner Constituency) Dr Angomcha Bimol Akoijam, has lodged a complaint with the Chief Judicial Magistrate Imphal West under the Code of Criminal Procedure, invoking relevant Sections of the Indian Penal Code against certain individuals for allegedly spreading slanderous and wrongful information regarding the marital status of the INC candidate.
The complaint filed by Olivia Thounaojam prayed for taking cognizance of the offences committed by the said persons/persons operating certain social media handles and to direct proper investigation to the Cyber Crime Police and also for awarding appropriate punishments against the accused.
