IMPHAL, Apr 20 : TRAU, Kwakeithel ended their 3-game losing streak in the 16th Manipur State League Group B competition with a 6-1 rout of Rahee UC today at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong this morning.
Moirangthem Diya starred with a treble in this one sided match as he opened the scoring in the 1st minute before adding two more goals in the second half (59', 62').
Adhikarimayum Dingku had scored TRAU's second in the 22nd minute before Lt Lowly pulled back a goal for Rahee UC three minutes later.
Md Zahid Khan (84') and Sovamani (90' penalty) who came off the bench also found their names on the scoresheet for adding two late goals and helping TRAU walk away 6-1 winners.
Elsewhere at DSA Ground Kakching, NESU, Khurai sealed their second Group B win in three games by thrashing NACO 4-0.
NESU led the first half 1-0 courtesy of a lone goal from Ngathem Imarson before Yumnam Monis (60', 79') and Ngangbam Pacha (78') took their turns in the second half to make it 4-0.
In the afternoon match staged at DSA Ground, Kakching, FC Lamjao pulled off a 3-1 victory over NISA, Thangmeiband for the second win in three matches having played out a draw in the previous match.
FC Lamjao entered into the break with a 2-1 lead courtesy of goals from Thounaojam Nilakanta (5') and Thokchom Yaiphaba (45+5'). Khuyenthen Rajesh found the net for NISA in the 17th minute. The decisive goal for FC Lamjao came up five minutes into the stoppage time with Thounaojam Premkumar finding the target.
