Black Watch PC-A vs UYPC in A Gandhar Memorial State Level Polo tourney final

IMPHAL, Apr 26 : Black Watch PC-A, Babupara will face off against UYPC, Uripok in the title clash of the 1st Athokpam Gandhar Memorial State Level Open Polo Tournament, 2024 organised by Chingkhei Hunba Polo Club at Ibudhou Marjing Polo Complex, Heingang.
Black Watch PC-A entered the final with a 9-4 win over Rupkumar Polo Club, Nagamapal in the first semi-final match today before UYPC edged out IMKHUKAL-A, Heingang 5-3 in the second semi-final match.
In the first semi-final match, Th Jacob and P Ojit scored two goals apiece and L Atangba added one to hand Black Watch PC-A a 5-1 lead in the first chukker against Rupkumar PC whose L Thomson scored one.
In the second chukker, Th Jacob added twice to make it 7-1 at halfway mark before Thomson added his second in the third chukker to make it 2-7.
The last chukker saw L Atangba score twice against a goal apiece from H Abung Khuman and L Thomson for Rupkumar PC to make the final scoreline read 9-4.
In the second semi-final match, S Bimol scored twice and S Saolin, Alex Aheibam and Th Nongpoknganba scored a goal apiece to earn UYPC a 5-3 win over IMKHUKAL whose Th Kaoba, A Basanta and Th Santosh found a goal apiece.
The final match is scheduled on April 28 at 2 pm.
