Nadda calls off proposed visit

IMPHAL, Nov 19: BJP National president and Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, JP Nadda has called off his proposed visit to Manipur, said a source.
This was intimated to BJP Manipur Pradesh today.
JP Nadda was earlier scheduled to inaugurate RIMS Imphal's new OPD Block and attend a meeting of the institute's governing body meeting on November 22.
He was also invited and requested by the Governor to arrive a day early and attend the inauguration programme of the Manipur Sangai Festival as the chief guest on November 21, said the source.
The source also said the State BJP MLAs were looking forward to his arrival here.
The MLAs were looking forward to discussing the Manipur issue and putting pressure on him to form a popular Government, added the source.
However, due to other engagements, JP Nadda is not visiting Manipur as proposed earlier, said the source.
