W Manglem, Kh Madankumar condoled

IMPHAL, Nov 21 : The Southern Sporting Union (SSU) has condoled the untimely demise of two members- Wangkhem Manglem of Kakwa Lamdaibung and Khaidem Madankumar of Naorem Leikai on November 12 and 11 respectively.
SSU convened an emergency meeting on November 18 at its office at Kakwa Bazar in honour of the former members and recalled their contributions towards the club and the sporting movement in the State, said a condolence note issued by SSU.
Manglem was a football enthusiast who started his administrative activities at SSU from early 90s as a life member of SSU and later held the post of vice president of SSU, SSU recalled. Manglem was the advisor to the union until his last breath, it said.
The union members present at the emergency meeting also observed two-minute silence as a mark of respect to the departed souls, it said while adding that their demise have created an unfillable void to SSU.
SSU also prayed for their souls to rest in peace and shared the pain and grief of the bereaved family members.
