LCC post 6-wicket win over SNC

IMPHAL, Nov 26 : LCC, Lamsang registered a comfortable 7-wicket win over SNC, Sangaiprou in the Group C opening match of the ongoing 22nd Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament at Langthabal Public Ground today.
Asked to bat first, SNC were bundled out for 123 runs in 26.4 overs before toss winners LCC chased down the target in 24.4 overs with 7 wickets left to spare riding on Kendy 32 off 39 balls, who produced an unbeaten partnership with Samananda 16.
Romesh 18, Rajen 14, and Joychand 13 led the scoring for SNC in the first innings before they were dismissed for 123 runs in the face of fierce bowling performances from Devid (3/20), Somorjit (2/20) and Shyamjai (2/12) of LCC.
Michael (1/28) and Prenjit (1/29) also chipped in with a wicket apiece for LCC before Kendy, Dutta 24 off 41, Suresh 18 off 18 and Samananda lead LCC to the winning 124.
Ronelkumar (2/12), Ranendrajit (1/14) and Joychand (1/12) were among the wickets for SNC in the second innings.
Devid of LCC was adjudged man of the match.
