School mourns

THOUBAL, Nov 26: The School Management Committee of Fancier Higher Secondary School, Thoubal, along with Principal, staff and students, held a condolence meeting on Wednesday to mourn the untimely demise of Sarina Singamayum, a Class XI Science student from Yairipok Singa, who tragically lost her life after being knocked down by a bus reportedly carrying security personnel. The staff and students led by Principal K Saratchandra observed a five-minute silence as a mark of respect for the departed soul. They shared the grief and pain of the bereaved family members and offered a prayer for the departed soul to rest in peace in heavenly abode. It may be mentioned that another student, Singamayaum Nasima, daughter of Md Zamin Khan of Yairipok Singa, who was with Sarina during the incident, sustained injuries and is currently receiving treatment at Raj Medicity Hospital. The school wished for the speedy recovery of the injured student.
