MU forms weightlifting teams for North East Zone Inter University competition

IMPHAL, Nov 28: The Department of Sports, Manipur University has released names of players selected to represent the university in the North East Zone Inter University Weightlifting (M&W) Competition 2025-26, to be held at Panjab University, Chandigarh in December.
Women weightlifters
Kh Luwangsana Chanu of Regional College will compete in the 48 Kg category
Ch Yaiphabi Devi of Thambal Marik College will compete in the 53 Kg category
K Pomshatnabi Chanu of Ng College will compete in the 58 Kg category
Ng Ballerina Devi of Thambal Marik College will compete in the 63 Kg category
Oinam Dhaneshwori of Regional College will compete in the 86 Kg category
Men weightlifters
L Wilson Singh of Regional College will compete in the 60 Kg category
Dikash Yumnam of Thambal Marik College will compete in the 65 Kg category
Oinam Bikash Singh of CI College will compete in the 71 Kg category
Huidrom Bikash Meetei of Biramangol College will compete in the 110 Kg category
The selected weightlifters shall report to the office of the Assistant Director of Sports, MU at Dr Kamal Indoor Hall on December 3 (11 am), said the Department of Sports, MU.
