Imphal Literature Festival wraps up

IMPHAL, Nov 29 : The annual Imphal Literature Festival 2025, organised by Sahitya Thoupang Lup (SATHOULUP), concluded on Saturday.
The three-day event, which began on November 27, was held in collaboration with Phunga Heritage, Shillong.
On the final day, a delegation consisting of poets from Thailand, Assam, Tripura and West Bengal led by Subhash Das, president of NATYABHOOMI (a leading theatre group of Tripura) visited the Chorus Repertory Theatre Complex in Naoremthong Samushang to pay their respect to cultural icon Late Ratan Thiyam.
They observed two minutes of silence and offered floral tributes to the photograph of Late Ratan Thiyam.
Artists of Chorus Repertory Theatre Complex and Thawai Thiyam, son of Late Ratan Thiyam were also present at the event.
Following this, the delegation accompanied by film director Rakesh Naorem, Chongtham Jibanlata, SATHOULUP secretary Mayanglambam Uttam and advisor Saratchand Thiyam visited the Khongjom War Memorial Complex where they offered floral tributes at the statue of Paona Brajabashi.
Later, the main closing function was held at RKCS Art Gallery in Keishamthong.
The function was marked by a discussion of Munish Ningthoujam’s new book “Aronba Khujin Thourang” and an interactive session.
