CAF&PD launches PMUY 3.0

IMPHAL, Dec 10 (DIPR): The Consumers Affairs & Public Distribution Department today announced the rollout of free LPG connections for eligible women beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) Phase 3.0.
The initiative follows the Government of India’s recent announcement of release of 25 lakh additional free LPG connections, strengthening its vision of women empowerment, improved health outcomes and reduced household drudgery through access to LPG.
The announcement was made at a press conference by the CAF&PD Department and the State Level Co-ordinator, IOCL, Manipur, held at DIPR auditorium, Nityaipat Chuthek.
Speaking to media, Rajjyoti Das, Divisional LPG Sales Head, Silchar Indane Divisional Office, highlighted the key features of PMUY Scheme Phase 3.0, including eligibility criteria and documents required for availing LPG connections.
