Police arrest UG cadres

IMPHAL, Dec 9: Security forces arrested two alleged active cadres of SOREPA along with a sum of Rs 3,90,500 on December 7.
The two alleged cadres were arrested from different locations of Imphal West district under Lamphel police station, said Manipur Police.
One of the arrested has been identified as Chungkham Nanao Macha alias Mitlang (24) of Red Cross Road Hill Town, Churachandpur district. He was staying at Moirang College Relief Camp, Bishnupur district. He was arrested from Ningthemkol area, said the police.
The other cadre has been identified as Arambam Thoithoi Singh (41) of Khurai Nandeibam Leikai, Imphal East district. He was arrested from Changangei area near the entrance gate of the Imphal Airport.
From their possession, the security forces seized three mobile handsets, two Aadhaar cards, one two-wheeler vehicle and a sum of Rs 3,90,500, added the police.
