Urgent attention of the honourable Governor is needed

Sir,
It is a known fact that because of the unrest and uneasy calm in the State mainly since the
3rd May, 2023;
and lack of better
educational facilities for higher and technical studies in different branches of Science,
Arts and Commerce
and other emerging applied courses of
studies in recent
times, a large
number of students
from the valley and hill districts are studying outside the State and country with heavy financial burdens on many parents.
Besides this, huge economic hardships being faced by parents in general and poor pensioners, salaried persons and other belonging to economically backward parents who want to give their children the best educational facilities are facing avoidable problems every month.
That is due to late withdrawal or receipt of their monthly salaries and pensions by 10th or after 10th every month, parents cannot send monthly fees to their children/wards in time by the 5th of every month, the last date of payment of fees without fine, which start with Rs. 500/- per month at the minimum.
If the pensioners and employees of the State Government are paid their monthly pensions and salaries regularly and on the 1st day of every month in the way
employees of the Raj Bhavan/Lok Bhavan,
High Court of
Manipur, Banks, Civil Secretariat, Accountant General, MPSC,
etc. the poor
parents can save this avoidable recurring expenditure of Rs. 500/- plus every month for every years together till the completion
of respective courses
of studies of their children and will get some amounts of financial relief at least.
In the above circumstances, the urgent attention of the Hon’ble Governor of Manipur, is drawn to arrange for payment of monthly pensions and salaries of the poor pensioners and employees of the State Government on the 1st day or before the 5th of every month simultaneously with those
of the Raj Bhavan/Lok Bhavan and others at the earliest.
With regards,
Yours faithfully,
Thangjam Ranjit,
Sinam Leikai, Thangmeiband
