Veteran Cricket : Bikram stars in clash between YPHU-Nongin and YPHU-Warrior

IMPHAL, Dec 10 : Bikram picked 1 wicket and scored 46 runs to earn YPHU-Warrior a 5-wicket win over YPHU-Nongin in a Group B match of the ongoing 22nd Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament at Langthabal Public Ground.
YPHU-Nongin amassed 191/9 wickets in the allotted 30 overs after electing to bat first but YPHU-Warrior chased down the target in 27 overs with Bikram leading the attack.
Then Then produced a masterful knock of 86 runs off 83 balls in the first innings as Dhaneshor 32 off 30 and L Surjit 22 off 27 followed suit.
Dularva 2/34 and Romeo 2/35 led the YPHU-Warrior’s bowling attack in the innings as Ponil, Bikram and Heromen chipped in with a wicket apiece.
In reply, Hemanta 33 off 33, Bikram 46 off 31, Heromen 34 off 45 not out, Romeo 23 off 21 and Salam Joran 23 off 22 not out played their part well to seal the victory.
L Surjit, S Arun, Then Then, I Jinta and Premananda all picked a wicket apiece for YPHU-Nongin in a lost cause.
Bikram was eventually declared man of the match.
