IMPHAL, Dec 10 : State pair of Loitongbam Shannon and Nameirakpam Devasis reached the doubles final at 4th Mini (U-11) National Badminton C’ships 2025 being underway at Vadodara, Gujarat.
Displaying exceptional skill, sharp court awareness, and remarkable coordination for their age, Shannon and Devasis overcame Rudra Harish Manohar and Vedant Bharat Bhusan More 21-13, 21-13 in the semi-final to set up the final date with Nirav Hariharan and Pranav SV tomorrow.
Nirav Hariharan and Pranav SV, on the other hand, made it to the final with a 21-10, 21-10 semi-final win over Reyansh Banala and Avyay Bhimavarapu.
The State duo earlier got a bye in the Round of 32 and advanced to the quarterfinal with a 21-14, 21-18 win over Hiten and Chitransh Sharma in the Round of 16.
Shannon and Devasis then overcame Agastya A and Tharun Chandramohan 21-16, 21-8 in the quarterfinals to set up the semi-final date with Rudra Harish Manohar and Vedant Bharat Bhusan.
Their spirited performance has earned Manipur yet another moment of pride on the National stage, said the Manipur State Badminton Association (MSBA) in a press release.
MSBA further congratulated the young shuttlers on their outstanding achievement and extended its full support as they gear up for the title clash.
MSBA also acknowledged the dedicated efforts of their coaches, parents and support team whose guidance has played a crucial role in shaping the duo’s success.
