Umelly, Redash bag bronze on Day 1 at Senior Taekwondo Nationals

IMPHAL, Dec 12 : Ningthoujam Redash and Umelly Mangsatabam opened Manipur’s medal account at the 14th National Senior Taekwondo Championships 2025 that began today at Telangana at GM Balayogi Indoor Stadium, Hyderabad.
Both the athletes settled for a bronze medal apiece by finishing third in the U-30 men and women’s individual Poomsae events.
Notably, Nongthombam Singhajit Singh (U-40), Soraisham Lamnganbi (U-30), Irom Bijaya (U-30) are also in the Poomsae squad for the championship that will run till December 14.
Meanwhile, L Pradip (U-54 kg), S Rohit (U-58 kg), N Surdeep (U-63 kg), S Anish (U-68 kg), Ch Jetlee (U-74 kg), M Pareihanba (U-87 kg), M Priyadarshini (U-46 kg), N Reema (U-49 kg), Th Lucky (U-53 kg), S Charlie (U-57 kg) and L Priyanka (U-62 kg) will be vying for top honours in the Kyorugi competition.
The State team are led by coaches Soraisham Anita Chanu  and Ng Radhapiyari.
