IMPHAL, Dec 12: The 9th round of political talk between the Government of India and Zeliangrong United Front was held from December 10 to 11 in New Delhi.
Substantial subjects on Zeliangrong territorial integration covering Assam, Manipur and Nagaland and its pragmatism was extensively discussed during the talk, said Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) in a statement, issued by its secretary, information and publicity, Louis Gangmei.
During the 2-day talk, minutes of points concerning the existing administrative structure in the three States were explored in the purview of resolving Zeliangrong political issues. The question of granting maximum autonomy to run the affairs of Zeliangrong people in the region was also discussed, it said.
After extensive deliberations, both sides mutually agreed to further the process of defining a mechanism towards structuring an acceptable and pragmatic settlement modality, added the ZUF.
