Kakching Keithel Apunba Ima Lup celebrates foundation day

THOUBAL, Dec 12: The Kakching Keithel Apunba Ima Lup (KKAIL) celebrated its 9th foundation day with a simple yet meaningful event held at Kakching Keithel on Thursday.
The gathering, led by Apunba Ima Lup president Nongmaithem Bheigyapati began with offerings of flowers, fruits and vegetables, followed by prayers to Kakchign Keithel Ima Lairembi for blessings and prosperity.
Addressing the function, Naorem Ushakiran, secretary Kakching Keithel Apunba Ima Lup, highlighted the vital role played by Kakching Keithel as a major trading place not only for Kakching residents but also for people from seven surrounding villages.
She noted that through their hard work and earnings from the Keithel, many women have been able to educate their children, producing even officers.
She recalled that KKAIL was formed nine years ago with the vision of improving and developing the market, adding that the association has since contributed significantly to the progress of the society and welfare activities.
The event was attended by representatives of the Kakching Bazar Business Welfare Association (KBBWA), and leaders of various civil society organisations from Kakching.
