Oja Sanajaoba remembered on 16th death anniv

IMPHAL, Dec 13 : The 16th death anniversary of Oja (Professor) Naorem Sana-jaoba was observed today at his memorial complex at Lairikyengbam Leikai in Imphal East.
Organised by Oja Sanajaoba Memorial Trust (OSMT), Manipur, the programme was graced by former Vice Chancellor of DM University Nongmai-them Rajmuhon, Poirei Leimarol Meira Paibi Apunba Manipur  (PLAMPAM) president Soraisam Memcha and former Head of Biology Department of RIMS  retired Professor Dr Arambam Giridhari as presidium members.
The programme began with floral tributes and a two-minute silence in honour of Oja Sanajaoba.
Speaking at the event, S Bhubon, trustee of OSMT, stated that Oja Sanajaoba dedicated his life to advocating for human rights and promoting harmony among the diverse communities in Manipur.
He also said that Oja Sanajaoba's 30-volume work reflects on the difference between the right to self-determination movement and terrorism.
It was Oja Sanajaoba's wish for scholars and intellectuals to reflect on Manipur's past, present, and future, he said.
