10th MNCA Plate Tournament Indrakumar hits unbeaten ton, picks four as YAC seal fourth win

IMPHAL, Dec 14 : Wayenbam Indrakumar scored an unbeaten ton and picked four to fashion YAC, Yaiskul a 33-run victory over SDC, Laipham Khunou in a Group A match of the ongoing 10th MNCA Plate Tournament at Moijing Public Ground.
Toss winners YAC posted a total of 189 runs for 7 wickets thanks to Indrakumar’s unbeaten 101 off 105 before Indrakumar (4/38 in 7 overs), Aribam Bidhyananda (3/35 in 7 overs), Oinam Kiran (2/24 in 5 overs) and Laishram Abocha (1/11 in 2 overs) deflated SDC for 156 runs in the chase.
Ch Arunjit of SDC earlier picked two wickets as three other claimed a wicket apiece before Vinodkumar 45 off 29, Kh Shyamananda 26 off 34 led the scoring for the team.
It was YAC’s fourth win in 5 matches while it was the second loss for SDC in four matches.
Elsewhere at Lairenjam Public Ground, Sagolband United (SU) defeated THAU by 2 wickets to end their four Group B game losing streak.
Toss winners THAU posted an innings total of 162/8 in the allotted 35 overs on the back of major contributions from Thokchom Sunil 36 off 31 not out, M Rohit 31 off 32 not out, and Kh Aden 33 off 50 but THAU fought their way to the winning 166/8 in 34.4 overs thanks to RK Philan’s unbeaten 56 off 78 balls and notable contributions from Sudarson 47 off 54 and RK Pritamkumar 21 off 28.
Karam Kennedy of SU (3/22), S Hemjit (2/27) and A Alen (2/24) shared 7 wickets in the first innings before Th Sushil (2/42), Kh Aden (2/33) and Ng Malesh Kumar (2/13) shared 6 wickets for THAU.
