Lt Md Zakariyyah inspires Meitei Pangal youth

IMPHAL, Dec 15: In a proud and inspiring moment for Manipur and the Meitei Pangal community, Lieutenant Md Zakariyyah, a 23-year-old youth from Yairipok in Imphal East district, has been commissioned into the Indian Army after successfully completing his training at the National Defence Academy (NDA) and the Indian Military Academy (IMA).
Lieutenant Zakariyyah is among the 491 cadets commissioned into the Indian Army at the Passing Out Parade held at the IMA on Saturday.
The youngest of five brothers, Lieutenant Zakariyyah is the son of Alhaj Md Ashraf Ali, a retired Block Development Officer (BDO), and Mumtaz Begum of Tulihal Mayai Leikai, Heirong Road.
