IMPHAL, Dec 16 : Endorsing the All Manipur VDF Welfare Association's (Central Committee) stand, the Imphal East District VDF Welfare Association has resolved to launch an "indefinite guns down strike" unless their demands are met by December 23.
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club today, vice president Kh John also mentioned their demands which include honorarium increment, implement Section 18 of the Police Act, 1861 and regularisation of VDF service.
If these demands are not met by December 23, then the indefinite guns down strike will be launched from the next onwards (December 24), he said.
