Delhi meeting positive : MLAs

IMPHAL, Dec 16 : Some BJP MLAs who attended a crucial meeting on December 14 at the party headquarters in New Delhi returned to Imphal today.
Upon their arrival, they confirmed that the meeting convened by the party's high command explored ways to restore normalcy in Manipur at the earliest.
The MLAs who returned today included Dr Sapam Ranjan (Konthoujam AC), Heikham Dingo (Sekmai AC), Dr Yumnam Radheshyam (Hiyanglam AC), Tongbram Robindro (Thanga AC), Thangjam Arunkumar (Wangkhei AC), and Soraisam Kebi (Naoriya Pakhanglakpa AC).
To a media query, T Robindro stated that the meeting was part of the ongoing efforts to restore peace in Manipur.
He expressed confidence that the Centre would form a popular Government once normalcy is restored in the State.
Dr Radheshyam also stated that the meeting in New Delhi, attended by the majority of the party’s MLAs from the Meitei, Naga, Kuki, and Muslim communities, focused on collaborating to bring peace and development to Mani-pur.
He emphasized that the meeting would play a pivotal role in rebuilding confidence among the people and restoring normalcy in the State.
Echoing the same sentiment, H Dingo stated that the meeting explored ways to resolve the crisis, thereby paving the way for lasting peace.
It is reported that some MLAs are still in New Delhi and they too will return to Imphal in the next few days.
