56,045 houses sanctioned under PMAY : Govt

IMPHAL, Dec 16: Based on proposals received from the State of Manipur, a total of 56,045 houses have been sanctioned by the Ministry in the State under PMAY-U and PMAY-U 2.0 involving Central assistance of 867.95 crore, Tokhan Sahu, Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs has said.
The Minister said this while answering questions raised by MP Leishemba Sanajaoba in the Rajya Sabha on December 15.
Tokhan Sahu said the total number of houses (56,045) includes 3,526 sanctioned under PMAY-U 2.0.
Out of total sanctioned houses, 20,591 have been completed/delivered to the beneficiaries as on November 24, 2025, Sahu said.
Central assistance of 582.36 crore has been released to the State so far, and the State has utilised 468.53 crore, Sahu said.
