IMPHAL, Dec 16 : Session Court Bishnupur has declared a convict in a drug trafficking case as a wanted man and issued an arrest warrant today.
The warrant of arrest was issued against Md Abdul Hei Makakmayum for failure to appear before the Court multiple times.
Md Abdul Hei Makakmayum (32) is a resident of Kwakta Ward No 3.
He was arrested by the police on August 15, 2022 from Kwakta Sabal Leikai. 6 grams of heroin powder was recovered from his possession.
Charges were framed against Abdul on September 9, 2025 under Section 21(B) and 60 (3) of ND&PS Act.
After he pleaded guilty in the case on October 8, 2025, he failed to appear before the Court on different dates.
During the Court proceeding today, the defence counsel submitted that the convict could not be contacted.
The Session Court, after perusal of the record, then issued a warrant of arrest against the convict and fixed December 23 for execution of the warrant and sentence hearing.
