KANGPOKPI, Dec 16: In a significant confidence-building initiative aimed at strengthening ties between security forces and civilians, the 112 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), under the aegis of the Inspector General, Manipur and Nagaland Sector Headquarters and the DIG Range Kangpokpi, in collaboration with the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Kangpokpi, successfully conducted a 15-day skill development programme for local youth at Keithelmanbi village.
The programme was designed to bridge the gap between security forces and the civilian population while motivating and equipping young boys and girls for recruitment into the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and Defence services. Youth from mixed communities—Kuki, Nepali and Naga—participated in the initiative, reflecting a spirit of inclusivity and unity.
More than 100 aspirants reported for the programme. Following an initial screening, 50 candidates—comprising 20 girls and 30 boys—were selected for intensive training held from December 1 to December 15, 2025.
The curriculum was meticulously structured in line with the existing CAPFs and Defence examination patterns.
The training featured both outdoor and indoor modules. Outdoor sessions focused on physical fitness, endurance and mental toughness, conducted by CRPF trainers, while indoor classes covered Reasoning, Elementary Mathematics, General Studies/Awareness, and English/Hindi. These academic sessions were delivered by experienced faculty members from Gunchu Coaching Institute, Kangpokpi.
