IMPHAL, Dec 19 : The All Manipur Recognised Private Schools' Welfare Association (AMRPSWA) has urged the Board of Secondary Education, Manipur to ensure that textbooks for Class I-X are available before the commencement of the 2026 academic session.
Recently, representatives of  AMRPSWA  met officials of BoSEM to discuss the matter, said a press release issued by secretary P Romen Singh.
During the meeting, BoSEM assured that the textbooks will be made available latest by the first week of February, 2026. In response, AMRPSWA  made a strong appeal to guarantee their availability before classes start for the upcoming 2026 session.
AMPRSWA went on to say that it has followed BoSEM's common syllabus as mandated by a Government order without fail.
It urged all schools, both Government and private, to continue following BoSEM's common syllabus and refrain from using books published by outside firms.
On another note,  AMRPSWA  reacted positively to a "reliable report" stating that BoSEM will publish NEP 2020 aligned textbooks (for some classes) in the coming years. It expressed belief the step will introduce a new chapter in the State's education sector.
