State Weightlifting Championship Anjelina wins 58 kg title for both junior and senior categories

IMPHAL, Dec 21 : The third day of the 24th Youth, 25th Junior and 26th Senior State Level Weigtlifting Championship saw M Anjelina of NSK securing both the junior and senior titles in the 58 kg category as Ch Luxmi of AYDC settled for the silver medals.
Anjelina posted 72 kg lift in snatch and 90 kg in clean and jerk to amass 163 kg while Ch Luxmi completed 52 and 64 kg lifts in snatch and clean and jerk events to finish second in both the age groups.
H Dineshwori of TBLWA finished third in junior women’s 58 kg category competition with a total of 93 kg as H Kalpana sealed the senior women’s bronze with a total lift of 56 kg.
Youth women’s 58 kg category title meanwhile went to Maibam Ritina of KLYDC who completed 68 kg in snatch and 80 kg in clean and jerk as Th Alvina of THAU settled for the silver medal with a total lift of 116 kg and S Lingjenthoibi of THAU picked the bronze with  a total lift of 112 kg.
S Atoniya of KISCE in the meantime clinched the 53 kg category gold as Ch Yaiphabi of NSK and L Nilam of NCOE grabbed the junior women’s 53 kg category gold and senior women’s 53 kg category gold medals respectively.
Atoniya produced a total lift of 153 kg (70 in snatch and 83 in clean and jerk) to win the gold in the youth category and a silver in the junior category.
L Milky meanwhile finished with 127 kg to win a silver for TLCKL in the youth women’s 53 kg category event as N Roshni of KYSC posted a total effort of 124 kg to win the bronze.
Ch Yaiphabi meanwhile recorded 67 kg lift in snatch and 90 kg lift in clean and jerk to win the gold as N Goldie Chanu of SYA settled for the bronze with a total lift of 111 kg.
L Nilam of NCOE on the other hand recorded 78 kg in snatch and 94 kg in clean and jerk to pick the senior women’s gold medal as G Kiuchang of NCOE won the silver with 163 kg lift and junior category topper Ch Yaiphabi of NSK earned the bronze.
The youth women’s 63 kg category gold medal went to A Mandakinin of NSA who recorded 80 kg in snatch and 102 kg in clean and jerk as L Medam of KLYDC finished with 178 kg lift to win the silver and Th Preety of TBLWA bagged the bronze with a 156 kg finish.
Ng Ballerina of NSK emerged as the winner of the junior women’s 63 kg category and runner up in the senior segment as she recorded 80 kg in snatch and 104 kg in clean and jerk. Th Preety of TBLWA finished second in the segment as Ksh Anurriti of AYDC finished with a 110 kg lift to win the bronze.
Kh Anjali of KLYDC meanwhile posted a total lift of 200 kg (85 in snatch and 115 in clean and jerk) to win the senior women’s 63 kg category gold as Ng Ballerina and A Mandakini settled for the silver and bronze medals.
Supreme win youth men’s 65 kg category gold
The day also saw Supreme of NSA secure the gold medal in the youth men’s 65 kg category competition and the bronze in the junior section as he produced a total effort of 216 kg (95 in snatch and 121 in clean and jerk).
S Krison of THAU (195 kg total) and L Rakesh of YUC (144 kg total) finished second and third behind Supreme in the youth category competition.
NSK’s Dikash Yumnam on the other fetched the junior men’s 65 kg category gold, recording 115 kg in snatch and 140 kg in clean and jerk as L Wilson of KYPC (227 kg) and Supreme finished with the silver and the bronze medals.
Dikash also sealed the senior title with the same effort as  Nitish Kumar of KLYDC (220 kg) finished with the silver medal.
Ng Yoihenba of NSA (251 kg), Y Albertson of NSK (186 kg) and Ng Bheemsen of TBLWA (165 kg) also made podium finish in the youth men’s 71 kg category competition as H Shitaljit of SAI-Utlou (231 kg), L Albertson of NSK (186 kg) and Th Skalin of AYDC (184 kg) finished first second and third in the junior category competition.
N Samson of KYPC meanwhile produced a total lift of 282 kg to win the gold in the senior men’s 71 kg category competition as Ng Yoihenba of NSA (251 kg), and Y Surchandra of AYDC (247 kg) finished second and third.
