YWC-L overwhelm LCC by 154 runs in Veteran Cricket

IMPHAL, Dec 21 : YWC, Langthabal (YWC-L) defeated LCC, Lamsang by 154 runs for the second straight Group C victory in the ongoing 22nd Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament at Langthabal Public Ground.
YWC-L amassed 196 runs for 9 wickets after electing to bat first as Manaobi 43 off 50, Ashokumar 28 off 29, and Dinachandra 20 off 14 before Samananda (5/11 in 3.5 overs) and Dinachandra (2/8 in 4 overs) led in dismantling LCC for 42 runs in 12.5 overs. Only Kendy 12 and Suresh 10 were able to register double digit scores for LCC as the other batters departed cheaply including four on ducks. Shyamjai (3/27) and Premjit (2/28) had shared 5 wickets for LCC earlier in the first innings.
Samananda was eventually adjudged man of the match.
