A Muhindro, H Jogendra make podium finish in 23rd NE Chess C’ship

IMPHAL, Dec 22 : Aribam Muhindro Sharma and H Jogendro made 1-3 podium finish in the 55-60 years category competition at the 23rd North East Chess Championship that was held from December 16 to 20 at Aizawl, Mizoram.
As many as 281 players from the NE States participated in the championship, said Manipur State Chess Association in a press release.
Tanmay Rajbongshi and Iftikar Alom Mazomdar of Assam sealed the top two positions in the main category of the championship as Lalrinsanga of hosts Mizoram finished third.
As many as 8 players from Manipur participated in the championship, it said while congratulating Muhindro and Jogendro for their achievement at the zonal championship.
