22nd Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament Raju scores unbeaten 134 in RNEF’s 51-run victory over UCC

IMPHAL, Dec 22 : RNEF, Mayang Imphal thrashed UCC, Uripok by 51 runs in a Group D match of the ongoing 22nd Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament 2025-26 at Langthabal Public Ground. It was the second straight win for RNEF in three games after their opening game loss to CHAMP.
Raju blazed off 134 off 71 balls and remained unbeaten while Jagu scored a fluent 43-ball 67 to help toss winners RNEF amass 269 runs for 7 wickets in the allotted 30 overs before Dinesh (3/45 in 5 overs) and Sanatomba (2/40 in 6 overs) shared five crucial wickets to restrict UCC to 218 for 9 wickets in reply.
Rustum (2/69 in 6 overs), Dhana (2/25 in 6 overs), and Bipin (2/45 in 5 overs) shared 6 wickets for UCC earlier in the first innings before Trimal scored a 39-ball 50 in reply.
Hemjit 30, Bipin 26, Helendro 23, Swami 22, and Joyshangker 15 not out also put in a diligent effort but the target proved too big.
Raju (1/34), Rameshwor (1/23), and Jasobanta (1/13) were also among the wickets for RNEF. Raju who struck an unbeaten ton was eventually declared man of the match.
