Paediatric cancer awareness programme held at KV No 1

IMPHAL, Dec 22 : In a significant step towards fostering awareness and education on paediatric cancer, the Lions Club of Imphal Greater, in collaboration with Lions Club of Imphal Kangla, Lions Club of Imphal Ningol Collective, Lions Club of Imphal Chanura, and Lions Club of Imphal Central, jointly organised a Paediatric Cancer Awareness Programme at the CCA Hall of Kendriya Vidyalaya No 1, Lamphelpat.
As per a release issued by Lions Club of Imphal Greater, the event was held in association with Karkinos Manipur Cancer Institute and Research Centre, Porompat, and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and Lions Club volunteers.
The programme was designed to enlighten young minds about the challenges of paediatric cancer, the importance of early detection, and the role of community engagement in supporting affected families.
With 87 students in attendance, the initiative marked a milestone in the Lions Clubs' ongoing mission to serve humanity under the “One District, One Activity” initiative of the Lions Club International Foundation.
