NAPSA thrash YCC by 8 wickets for third straight win in Veteran Cricket Tournament

IMPHAL, Dec 23 : NAPSA rode on spellbinding performances from the bowlers to thrash YCC, Wangkhei by 8 wickets and extend their winning streak to three games in 22nd Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament Group A competition.
Having beaten YUCC and LCCC in the previous matches, NAPSA dismantled YCC, Wangkhei for 95 runs in 26.4 overs as Bhogendro (4/27 in 6 overs), Simon (3/9 in 4.4 overs), Ratan (2/1 in 1 over) and Puthiba (1/24 in 6 overs) shone with the ball before Somorendro scored an unbeaten 38 off 34 balls to steer the team to the target in 13 overs with Rishikanta 21 not out off 10.
Simon also added 21 runs to NAPSA’s tally in the innings that saw Sanjit Sharma and Binishan sharing two wickets for YCC.
Earlier in the first innings, Binishan topscored for YCC scoring 39 runs off 66 balls while Everest followed on 29 off 40.
Simon of NAPSA, who picked three wickets and added 21 runs in reply, was adjudged man of the match.
