Arms and ammunition recovered

IMPHAL, Dec 24: Security forces recovered arms and ammunition from Thangjing foothill and areas of Lambal and Haorang Kairel under Imphal West district today, said a police statement.
The items recovered from Thangjing foothill include one pumpi, 12 pumpi shells, nine empty cases, one modified MP5 Rifle with maga- zine, one ammunition and one country-made Single Barrel Rifle, added Manipur Police.
The items recovered from Lambal and Haorang Keirel include one Single Barrel Gun, three Pistols with a magazine each, three Bolt Action Rifle, seven white phosphorus grenades, one HE grenade with detonator, 23 mini rifle cartridges, eight 12 Bore cartridges, 28 live ammunition of different calibres, one empty case of 7.62 SLR and two Baofeng radio sets.
