YAC beat CYCLONE by 2 wickets to end campaign on winning note

IMPHAL, Dec 24 : YAC, Yaiskul handed CYCLONE, Thangmeiband by 2 wickets to end their Group B campaign in the 22nd Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament on a winning note after suffering three opening game losses.
Asked to bat first, CYCLONE could add only 115 runs for all wickets down in 27.3 overs and YAC fought their way to the target in 26 overs with 2 wickets left to spare.
Shashi Kumar 37 off 52 led the scoring for CYCLONE in their innings that saw Chitaranjan of YAC dazzle with a four wicket haul (4/26 in 6 overs) and Herod (2/8) and Sarat (2/16) claiming two wickets apiece.
Anil 32 off 45 and Sarat 28 off 46 then led YAC to the victory despite Dhanendrajit (3/19), Narjit (2/26), and Surjit (2/27) doing their best to trouble the YAC batters.
Chitaranjan who shone with the ball and contributed 7 runs in reply, was adjudged man of the match.
