A Christmas greeting sent by the outfit’s Minority Affairs’ Secretary prayed that the festival bring peace and communal harmony across Manipur.
Forcing indigenous people to be displaced from their home and villages within their ancestral land is a grave sin. As such, the Government has committed a grave sin by forcing more than 60,000 people to be displaced from their homes within their own homeland, apart from inflicting the pain of separation and loss to thousands of families, it said.
The outfit said that the Government of India must pay for the communal clash, mass displacement and polarisation of communities brought about by its alleged divisive policies.
Lord Jesus Christ took birth on earth as a human being to lead mankind on the path of truth and His primary messages are love and peace, it said.
It is the wish of Jesus Christ for all the people of Manipur to follow his example of forgiveness and compassion, and forgive each other and once again live together in peace and harmony, Y Shyam said.
Calling upon all the people to be always wary of the Government of India’s divisive policies, Shyam asserted that it’s time for all to unite and fight collectively the Government of India’s divisive policies and its strategy to annihilate the indigenous people.
