Winter Tennis Tournament Premjit claims men’s open singles title

IMPHAL, Dec 26 : Premjit claimed the men’s open singles title as the Winter Tennis Tournament came to a close yesterday at IDTA Complex, Lamphel.
Premjit won 6-3, 6-3 against Brojen to earn the top honour of the competition organised by the IDTA and ASTPM to walk away Rs 6000 richer. Brojen meanwhile settled for the runner up prize of Rs 3,000.
The tournament organised for singles and doubles events for various age groups across two genders carried a pool prize of Rs 1,03,000.
Winners, runners and semi-finalists (in some select events) were also feted yesterday during the closing function.
