Saying that CPPKT, Ibudhou Thangjing Seva Mandal, and the Historical Heritage Development Organisation, Moirang, submitted a memorandum to the Governor requesting arrangements for a pilgrimage to Thangjing Hill on April 2, 2025, it added that President's Rule administration, however, advised them not to visit the site this year.
The Government assured that the unwanted structure at the sacred site on Thangjing Hill would be removed, a survey of the area would be conducted, the site would be secured by deploying a platoon of CRPF, and preparations would be made for a pilgrimage to Thangjing and Koubru Hills during the 2026 Sajibu, CPPKT claimed and added that they submitted a reminder memorandum to the Governor on December 16, seeking an update on the progress of these assurances.
There has been no response from the Government so far, it said.
