NISC, USC triumph in IW 3rd Divn Football League

IMPHAL, Dec 28 : NISC, Lairenjam and USC, Phayeng extended their winning run to two games in the ongoing 7th Sh Mani Sharma Memorial 3rd Division Football League Tournament at PAMYAL ground, Patsoi Part II.
NISC extended their winning run to two games and unbeaten run to three by handing IBSA, Yumnam Leikai a 2-0 defeat.
The two sides failed to seize their opportunities in the first half and entered into the break goalless before NISC found the breakthrough in the 64th minute courtesy of M Dhana. G Bidyananda then rounded off the scoring for NSC in the stoppage time (90+1’) and sealed the 2-0 win as IBSA failed to make the most of their chances.
Later in the second match of the day, Bikram and Raj scored two goals apiece to fire USC 5-1 past KYDC, Kiyam Sangaithel Road.
Bikram found the lead early in the 7th minute before Raj doubled the advantage in the 12th minute.
S Johny pulled back a goal 2 minutes into the added time of opening half to make it 1-2 at halftime but Raj struck again in the 44th minute to make it 3-1 before Samananda further extended the lead to 4-1 after 58 minutes.
Bikram then completed his double 3 minutes into the stoppage time (80+3’) to make it 5-1 at the end.
