Veteran Cricket Tourney TCMDC bounce back with 6 wicket win over YPHU-N

IMPHAL, Dec 28 : TCMDC, Thongju returned to winning ways in the Group B competition of the 22nd Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament as they thrashed YPHU-Nongin (N) by 6 wickets at Langthabal Public Ground.
TCMDC chose wisely to bowl first and restricted YPHU-N to 160/8 in the allotted 30 overs before Rakesh 61 off 47, Krishna 43 not out off 51 and Sanjit 30 not out off 30 took the team to the target in 27.4 overs with 6 wickets left to spare.
Then Then 42 off 49, Jinta 28 off 27, Boiton 19 off 37, and Robin 17 off 27 led the scoring for YPHU-N earlier in the first innings that saw Jiten (3/26 in 6 overs) and Sanjit (3/39 in 6 overs) sharing 6 wickets.
For YPHU-N, Gyanranjan picked two wickets as Surjit and Jiten claimed a wicket apiece.
Sanjit who shone with both the bat and ball was adjudged man of the match.
