Poppy destroyed

IMPHAL, Dec 29: A combined team of police, CRPF, Forest Department and NCB destroyed 35 acres of poppy plantations in the ranges of Langkhong (Saihijang), Kangpokpi district today.
During the operation, the team also burnt and destroyed 12 huts, 13 bags of fertilizers, equipment including spray pumps, pipes, herbicides etc used in the cultivation, said the police.
